Latest Chicago Bears News – OTA’s Heating Up

TGIF, BEARS FANS!!!  I’ve decided to try to resurrect an old favorite of mine, Bear Dawn.  It’s the latest Chicago Bears news from around the interwebs.  Here’s what you need to know for Friday May 29, 2015…

BREAKING NEWS… A day went by and Ray McDonald DIDN’T get arrested.  But hey, the weekend’s just around the corner.

We continue our series of #TBT posts on the ’85 Bears with their Week 2 win over the Patriots.

In case you haven’t had enough of the Ray McDonald saga, Chicago Football has a timeline slideshow of the events that led him to and ultimately off the Bears.

Meanwhile, in the wake of the latest embarrassment, George McCaskey is unsure whether owners want increased penalties for player misconduct:

"“I’m honored to serve on the league’s Conduct Committee,” McCaskey said. “I haven’t heard any discussion about that, either on the committee or among the membership. It might be something that would be worth the discussion [but] I don’t know that there was any consensus on that issue at all.”"

Well DUH!!!

Now that Ray McDonald is out of the picture, Jeremiah Ratliff is getting a lot more attention.  He’s willing to do whatever it takes to help the team win:

"“I want to win. Wherever my team needs me, I’m going to be there. I’m going to make it work. Point-blank, end of discussion.”"

Stop me if you’ve heard this before, but with another new regime, Shea McClellin has a clean slate and by all accounts, things are looking up for yet another position change.   I’m not ready to buy into the Shea love-fest just yet.  If they loved him so much, why wouldn’t they pick up his 5th year option?

Chicago Football isn’t the only one talking about Shea.  Adam Jahns talked about Shea and much more with Da Bears Blog in their latest podcast.

There’s a lot of talk about the new defensive scheme, but what do we really know about it?  Dan Durkin is schooling us on the Mike and the Jack.  Really good stuff to get you up to speed on the new scheme.

Have a great weekend, Go Blackhawks and as always…

BEAR DOWN!!!
