Welcome to the slightly late installment of Bear Dawn. Here’s the latest Chicago Bears news for Wednesday July 8, 2015.

Get to know Jay Cutler‘s latest victim quarterback coach Dowell Loggains:

"“I was fortunate to work with Dave McGinnis,” Loggains said. “He’s from west Texas as well. He kind of took me under his wing. Coach ‘Mac’ told me stories about Mike Ditka and all the former players that have been here.”"

Dan Durkin’s positional breakdown continues with the talented but unproven group of outside linebackers:

"Likely starters:ROLB: Pernell McPhee (26, fifth year)LOLB: Lamarr Houston (28, sixth year)Other competitors: Jared Allen (33, 12th year), Willie Young (29, sixth year), Sam Acho (26, fifth year), David Bass (24, third year) and Kyle Woestmann (23, rookie)Key contributor: Pernell McPhee"

Speaking of outside linebackers, Chicago Football’s Bear Necessities #14 player who will be a key to their success is Jared Allen.

Matt Forte tweeted his support for Englewood after the rough Chicago neighborhood made it through the July 4th weekend without any violence.  Yay, let’s go for a week in a row!

Jay Cutler hosted some Bears pass catchers at Vanderbilt for some workouts and bonding, Conspicuously absent was Alshon Jeffery, who was working out with Brandon Marshall at one of his local FitSpeeds.

Expectations for the Bears might be low this season, but ticket prices are as high as ever.  Week 1 tickets against the Packers are going for an average of $380 on the secondary ticket market.  Yikes!

Antrel Rolle is hoping to make a difference for the Bears secondary:

"Rolle feels he can check all the boxes. He started alongside Mundy in New York in 2013, when he notched the best season of his career with 98 tackles and six interceptions to go with a second-team All-NFL pick by the Associated Press. He studied Vic Fangio’s 49ers defenses before coming here, the career ballhawk falling in love with the freedom of movement he saw in the back end."

Former Eagles and Redskins QB and Chicago native Donovan McNabb got himself another DUI.  This is not a good streak Don.  What would your mama say?
