Madden NFL 16: Bears Kevin White One of Top Rated Rookies

EA Sports is releasing their player ratings for Madden NFL 16 this week. One of the most interesting parts of playing the latest edition of Madden each year is playing with the fresh-faced rookies. Because of this, EA Sports kicked-off their release on Monday by announcing the top ten rookie ratings in the game.

Checking in towards the bottom of that list is Chicago Bears wide receiver Kevin White, who is tabbed with an overall rating of 78.

"KEVIN WHITE (78 OVR)CHICAGO BEARS WR (7TH OVERALL)6’3, 215 POUNDSWhite has big shoes to fill following the departure of Brandon Marshall, but he’s a deep threat with 94 Speed, 92 Acceleration, 88 Agility, and rookie-best 88 Catching."

White enters the NFL with an incredibly intriguing raw skill-set. His combination of size, speed and athleticism gives White seemingly limitless upside on the field. On top of that, his impressive combination of raw skills makes him a potential star on the virtual gridiron. Not only is White a dangerous weapon in the Bears’ arsenal, he could quickly become a darling for Madden coaches across the world.

White’s 78 overall rating ties him for the seventh best rating for all rookie players, and he is the second highest ranked player at the wide receiver position.

The rest of the released top ten and their rankings from EA Sports are as followed:

1. Amari Cooper, WR, Oakland Raiders: 82 Overall

2. Jameis Winston, QB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: 81 Overall

3. Todd Gurley, RB, St. Louis Rams: 80 Overall

4. Leonard Williams, DL, New York Jets: 80 Overall

5. Brandon Scherff, OT, Washington Redskins: 80 Overall

6. Dante Fowler Jr., DE, Jacksonville Jaguars: 79 Overall

7. Melvin Gordon, RB, San Diego Chargers: 78 Overall

8. White: 78 Overall

9. Marcus Mariota, QB, Tennessee Titans: 78 Overall

10. Vic Beasley, DE, Atlanta Falcons: 77 Overall

Madden NFL 16 will be available for purchase on August 25th for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
