Kyle Long Joins Campbell’s Chunky Soup Launch of Everyman All-Star League

Chicago Bears guard Kyle Long has joined Campbell’s Chunky Soups Everyman All-Star League.

In time for the start of the NFL and fantasy football season, Campbell’s Chunky soup has turned the tables and enlisted Kyle Long along with five other NFL stars to form the Everyman All-Star League.

"Chunky is reversing fantasy football roles in a unique turn of events, where the six NFL players will serve as the league’s general managers for ‘everyday’ participants to be drafted into the Everyman All-Star League."

Other NFL stars participating in the campaign include Drew Brees, Odell Beckham Jr., Eddie Lacy, Todd Gurley and Eric Ebron.  The first spot shows NFL’ers drafting regular “everyman” candidates for their fantasy teams:

Long doesn’t get much air time in the first spot, but be on the lookout for new commercials throughout the NFL season.

Fans who create an Everyman All-Star player card at EverymanLeague.com will be placed on one of the general managers’ teams, and be entered into a sweepstakes for the chance to win Super Bowl LI tickets, NFL-licensed autographed gear and additional prizes.

Oddly enough, I wouldn’t quite call it the Madden curse, but two of the six GM’s are dealing with injuries as Long nurses a shoulder injury while the Detroit Lions’ Eric Ebron is dealing with an ankle injury.

The Chicago Bears are no strangers to Chunky Soup commercials after all.  We’ve got the Ditka commercial from 1988:

Funny enough, this isn’t the first time a member of the Long family endorsed Chunky soup, as Kyle’s father Howie did this spot back in 1987:

I think it would be cool if Campbell’s did a remake of that commercial with Howie and Kyle or with Kyle.

There’s no time to be worrying about that, as Kyle’s got to heal up and get himself ready to get back into action for the season opener against the Houston Texans on September 11th.
