The Chicago Bears gave a near unwatchable performance yesterday. For all the fans who tuned out before the final whistle, here is what remains of the Chicago Bears after their week 10 beat down.

The Chicago Bears lost 5 starters throughout the course of yesterday’s game. We break down the severity of the injuries, and their impact on the team moving forward.

Kyle Long RG: The most stable voice in the Bears’ locker room suffered another injury this season. After dealing with a labrum issue since training camp, Long suffered an achilles injury that will likely end his season. The Bears could actually consider this injury a blessing in disguise. Long’s achilles injury may be season ending, but it’s not as severe as an ACL tear. However, Long’s labrum will take significant time to heal after operation. Sitting out the for the final 6 weeks of the year will allow Long to jump start his rehab. Eric Kush or Ted Larsen will take Long’s place for the remainder of the season.

Bobby Massie RT: Shortly after the Bears lost Kyle Long, Bobby Massie went down with a concussion. The severity of Massie’s concussion is unknown, but it’s likely that Mike Adams will fill in until Massie returns. The Bears will likely have to bring in another tackle considering that Adams is the only backup tackle on the roster.

More from Chicago Bears News

Will Sutton DT: Only a few minutes after Long got his ankle rolled up in a pile, the same happened to Will Sutton. Once more, the severity of Sutton’s injury won’t be known until the Bears begin practice for the week. However, if Sutton is unable to suit up against the Giants, he will leave Cornelius Washington and Eddie… oh wait

Eddie Goldman DT: While Tampa Bay was grinding down the clock, Chicago lost yet another player to injury. Goldman stayed on the turf for awhile holding his ankle in the 4th quarter. The injury is incredibly discouraging considering that it’s Goldman’s first game back from a high ankle sprain. That being said, there has been minimal coverage regarding Goldman’s injury, so it may have been just a stinger. If Goldman can’t go, the Bears will left with only Cornelius Washington as a nose tackle.

Jordan Howard RB: In the waning moments of the 4th quarter, Howard came up limping after receiving the ball on a draw play. John Fox gave the initial prognoses of either an ankle or achilles injury. When interviewed about his injury, Howard was defiant that he was suffering from anything. John Fox has been extremely secretive about injuries, so the severity of Howard’s injury will likely remain under wraps until the end of the week.
