This late roster move by the Chicago Bears could not only spark the offense, but also a career. Fan favorite Daniel Braverman is likely to be moved up to the active roster.

The Chicago Bears experienced another defeat in heartbreaking fashion on Sunday. Despite a large 4th quarter deficit, the Bears fought back and even had a chance to win in the closing seconds of the game. Unfortunately, that’s where the Bears dropped the ball- literally. The Chicago Bears dropped 10 passes on Sunday, a number that hasn’t been achieved in over 10 years. The drop-fest has caused the Bears to take action and bring back a fan favorite from training camp, Daniel Braverman according to a league source.

The Bears selected Braverman with their 7th round pick in this year’s draft. At 5’10, Braverman won’t be boxing anyone out on a fade route, but he has unbelievable hands. Any Bears fan who was fortunate enough to attend training camp this summer witnessed his playmaking ability. Braverman displayed a little bit of everything over the summer. He made possession catches on slant routes with linebackers cracking him, he ran crisp routes which created separation, and he made incredible leaping grabs that would have dominated ESPN’s top 10. Through it all, Braverman’s hands were still the star of the show.

The Bears will have to hope Braverman’s hands can assist the struggling Bears receiving corps. Braverman will likely be utilized as a slot receiver should he get on the field against the 49ers. It’s not too far of a stretch to say that Braverman will receive some game reps in the coming weeks. Eddie Royal has always been injury prone, but his performance as of late may do him in first. In the last three weeks combined, Royal has only gained 31 off of 4 catches. With the season lost, the Bears may go for youthful potential over veteran security in the closing weeks of the season. Regardless, fans will continue to gravitate towards the 7th round pick if he continues to make plays.
