This is Bart, and I’m temporarily filling in with Madden Simulations for Week 10. I apologize that I don’t have all the bells and whistles, but what I do have are scores and stats from this week’s NFL games. Since I don’t have pictures and visuals, I’ll give you some quick snapshots from the statistics below:

*Bears Game – They lose, not good. Based on the stats, if I were the Bears, I’d commit 3 guys to Adrian Peterson – he scores 3 touchdowns according to the Madden Sim. Cutler has a good game and spreads the ball around to 7 different receivers. Despite the emotionality of the game, Chester Taylor only gets his hands on the ball 4 times. Martz continues his non-running ways with only 9 rushing attempts. Devin Aromashodu touched the ball twice for 60 yds and a TD and we’re left to wonder, “Where’ve you been?” On the Vikings side of the ball, Sidney Rice returns off the PUP list, but only for a combined 42 yards of total offense. The post-game highlights do not reveal if this win saved Childress from losing his job for another week or not.

NFL Games: There was a couple of upsets predicted, so be careful. Most notable: Panthers upset Tampa, Browns beat the Jets, Cinci takes care of Indy, and Detroit wins on the road against Buffalo. It was interesting to note that the Madden Sim predicted the Atlanta win over Baltimore. See below.

Bears 21 Vikings 24

Scoring Summary

Our Madden 11 simulation expert Sam has been battling some kind of nasty bug, so let’s hope the simulator hasn’t caught it. Our Week 8 Madden 11 Simulation Predictions:

Packers 20 Jets 17
Broncos 20 49ers 17
Cowboys 12 Jags 7
Bengals 24 Dolphins 13
Rams 17 Panthers 14 (OT)
Lions 26 Redskins 7
Chiefs 26 Bills 3
Vikings 27 Pats 24 (OT)
Raiders 33 Seahawks 10
Bucs 20 Cardinals 19
Saints 17 Steelers 14 (OT)
Texans 19 Colts 13

Let’s hope he’s wrong about our division rivals; he’s got them both winning.

By the way, if you’re a budding Madden 11 expert in your own right and you play on your iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad you can take a chance at winning an iPod shuffle from EA Sports. Just play the Monday Night matchup on your device, and send a screen shot of the final score to Monday@ea.com. Closest to the actual outcome will be the winner. Check out the full rules and regs here. Good luck!

Donovan McNabb makes yet another trip to Soldier Field, but this time he leads the Washington Redskins. The game starts off slowly, with only two Robbie Gould field goals in the first half to account for the Bears scoring. Ryan Torrain’s 10 yard run late in the half gives the Redskins a 7-6 halftime advantage. Check out the highlight:

Was that Danieal Manning getting a horsie ride into the end zone?

The Bears bounced back strong against the Panthers last week even without Jay Cutler. Thanks to a strong running game from Matt Forte and a stellar defensive performance (or a piss-poor offensive showing by Carolina) the Bears moved their record to 4-1. Are these guys for real? Time will tell, but enjoy the ride.

The Seahawks come to Soldier Field, but they have struggled on the road. Experts around the interwebs can’t think of a way that the Bears can lose this game. Well, let’s see what our Madden 11 Simulator thinks.

It seems like the Bears and the Seahawks square off just about every year. Last season, the Bears made the trek to the Emerald City and brought home a come-from-behind victory. This year new head coach Pete Carroll brings his band of merry men to Soldier Field. It starts off well enough in Jay Cutler’s return to action as Robbie Gould gets the Bears on the board with a 41-yard field goal. The Seahawks bounce back with a short Matt Hasslebeck TD pass to give Seattle a 7-3 first quarter lead.

Matt Forte picks up where he left off in Carolina, busting off a 36-yard TD run to give the Bears a 10-7 lead:

The Bears came back down to earth last Sunday night as the Giants manhandled the Bears 17-3 to remove them from the ranks of the undefeated and knock quarterback Jay Cutler out of the game. As a matter of fact, JC is still recovering from his concussion and won’t play on Sunday, so journeyman backup Todd Collins will take the reigns against the Panthers in Carolina. Can he adhequately fill in for Jay Cutler in Mike Martz’s offense? Will the Bears actually try to run the ball? These are the questions we posed to Sam, our Madden 11 simulation expert:

With Todd Collins at the helm and Jay Cutler on the sidelines, you’d think that Mike Martz might take a more conservative approach. Think again. Bears start off with a 47 yard TD pass from Collins to Knox. The Panthers bounce back to score two rushing TD’s, including a 68 yarder from DeAngelo Williams and a 2 yard plunge from Jonathan Stewart to give the Panthers a 14-7 first quarter lead.

The second quarter is more of a defensive struggle, with a Zack Bowman INT helping the Bears keep it close:
