It seems like a distant Thanksgiving day memory but all it took was the magic of Youtube to revisit the best Bears overtime game ever. The footage looks vintage yet it’s great to see Sweetness in the backfield while Vince Evans scrambles in to tie the game. The highlight as many of you remember is the Dave Williams kickoff return which was the quickest OT winner at the time. It was great and exciting and dessert was served a lot quicker after we all went nuts cheering the touchdown.

A few observations while watching the 10 minute YouTube clip is how strange it is to see other players other than Butkus and Urlacher wearing #51 and #54 jerseys. It was also funny to see the CBS lineup that night was the Waltons and Knots Landing. Enjoy the 10 minutes in Bears history and have a great Thanksgiving even if it won’t be as exciting as that Thanksgiving Day in 1980!
