Is it a pick or a scratch?

Late last week, we learned that Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler married on-again, off-again, back on-again fiance Kristin Cavallari at a “secret” Tennessee wedding.  My invitation must have gotten lost in the mail, but the other 150 guests celebrated with the happy couple.

Jay Cutler and fiance Kristin Cavallari have reportedly tied the knot on Friday in their home away from home, Nashville. Word first leaked via TMZ that Jay and Kristin had purchased a marriage license in the state of Tennessee:

We’ve confirmed … Cutler and Kristin Cavallari appeared at the Davidson County Clerk in Nashville, TN early this morning … and dropped $99.50 on the paperwork required to tie the knot.

Sources connected to the couple tell us … the two are set to swap “I dos” at a ceremony THIS WEEKEND in Nashville

I know, I know… Enough with the Jay Cutler stories right? You are probably thinking I have a man crush on him or something. Maybe I do. He does have that perfect hair… And I can honestly say that when the Bears traded for him that I was as happy on that day as I was on my children’s birthdays. But I digress, or do I?

I was doing my usual research, you know, reading all the gossip columns. When I’m not reading or writing about the Bears, I enjoy finding out about my fav celebs. Don’t you? What’s Bennifer up to these days?

What Kristin forgot to mention was that while Jay was in Cabo for the proposal, she was home in Nashville with baby Camden.

Either way, we’ve got a wedding to plan this offseason.  Maybe Earl Bennett will leak some details of the big day, just like he accidentally revealed the secret gender of baby Cutler last offseason.

Apparently Jay Cutler is in the midst of a love triangle with Kristin Cavallari (left) and Haley Higgins (right). Think Jay's got a type?

I have stayed away from this story so far because as long as they’re performing on the field, I could care less who the Bears date or how they choose to socialize, but this  could start bleeding into the season.  By now you’ve all heard that Jay Cutler has been making the rounds about town with celebrity “star” Kristin Cavallari.  But the plot thickens.

According to Perez Hilton (and a big hat tip to my sister Maggie who reads that crap), Jay has his hands full – really full.  Cutty has himself an old fashioned love triangle with Cavallari and actress Haley Higgins.  This from Perez:

Haley’s comedian ex-boyfriend Steve Berke says:

“I know how uncomfortable it can be, because I was in a similar love triangle with Cutler and Haley for a solid two months before I lost out to him. I guess $100 million dollars and being the face of an NFL franchise was more attractive to her than a struggling comic from Miami.”

I forgive Perez because he probably doesn’t know a football from a pair of balls, but he should know this:  a good quarterback always sends multiple receivers out on each play.  My only hope is that Jay’s protection is better than that of his offensive line.

My last bit of advise to Jay – don’t let this crap get in the way of your business on Sundays.  These chicks could make Ndamukong Suh seem tame by comparison.
