]]> The Chicago Bears will renew their rivalry with the rivals from north of the cheddar curtain for the 178th time as a part of the NFL’s kickoff weekend.  The Beloved head north to Lambeau Field to square off with the Packers for a Sunday night affair on September 13th. The weather should be in stark contrast to the last meeting, which the Bears won 20-17 in the coldest game in Soldier Field’s history.

My first reaction in glancing at the first games is that Green Bay and Oakland will have at least two national games; one each on opening weekend and another on Thanksgiving as the Pack head to Detroit and the Raiders off to Big D.  The Raiders also cap off a Monday night double header against San Diego on September 14th.  Oakland with two national games?  Did I miss something?  Since when do they merit even being shown in Oakland.   So get ready for plenty of shots like this one.
