VIKINGS

The Vikings routed the St. Louis Rams 34-6 on Sunday and running back Adrian Peterson did not score a touchdown. That’s a fantastic sign for Minnesota. Wide receiver Cordarelle Patterson led the rushing attack with three carries for 102 yards, including a highlight-reel 67-yard score in the third quarter. The Vikings defense also contributed in the win with a touchdown of its own in the fourth quarter and tallied five sacks altogether.

Minnesota desperately needed this win to get them off and running this season. They are the heavy underdogs in the NFC North this season, but could easily play the role of spoilers against their conference foes and will be a difficult team to take down with Patterson and Peterson on offense.
