Fantasy Football Picks Recap:

Well so much for my hot streak… After a couple of weeks with around 70% of my picks being right, I barely broke .500 this week. Can’t win them all I guess.

My start’em picks (10-10) were all over the place with a couple good calls like Roethlisberger (+18), Baldwin (+17), David Johnson (+10), and Jeremy Hill (+9) and a few big misses like Ryan Tannehill (-11), Eddie Lacy (11), Brandon LaFell (-8), and Donte Moncrief (-7).

I had better luck with my sit’em picks (8-4-2) with Frank Gore (+7) and Drew Brees (+5) my only notable misses and Charcandrick West (-10), Stefon Diggs (-7), Martellus Bennett (-7) and Eli Manning (-7) all significantly under performing their projected points as I predicted. Overall it wasn’t my best week, but it kept my streak alive of being over .500 since week 1 of the 2014 season.

Fantasy Football Week 14 Picks:

Note: Only players started in less than 75% of Yahoo leagues will be eligible for the start’em category. The purpose of this column is advice on players that might not be every week starters. I’ll usually list at least one “Deep Sleeper” pick for players started in less than 10% of Yahoo leagues who I think are under-projected.

If you have questions about specific players, hit me up on Twitter or in the comment section and I will get back to you before this weekend’s games. Good luck in your fantasy match-ups this week and go Bears!

Apologies for the late post, I moved this week and didn’t have internet access for a few days. Damn you Cox!

Start’em

Quarterback

Russell Wilson, @BAL (69%, 20) – Is playing out of his mind right now with 40 and 38 fantasy points in his last two games and faces a Ravens secondary this week that might be the worst in the league. The Seahawks are fighting for their playoff lives and I think Wilson has another big game on Sunday.

Andy Dalton @PIT (66%, 19) – Didn’t need to do much last week to beat the hapless Browns, but that will change this week against a high-octane Steelers offense. This should be a high scoring game with both team’s QBs putting up big fantasy lines.

Blake Bortles, IND (49%, 21) – Coming off the best game of his young career with five TDs and zero INTs last week verse the Titans. Bortles gets an easier match-up this week against a Colts defense that has given up the 8th most fantasy points to opposing QBs. Start Bortles with confidence this week.

Tyrod Taylor, @PHI (26%, 19) – He’s healthy and playing well with six TDs and no INTs over his last two games. Taylor has averaged over 30 fantasy points the last two weeks and faces an Eagles team that is a mess on defense right now.

Jameis Winston, NO (20%, 17) – The Saints D is so bad right now that I would start Jimmy Clauson against them. They can’t stop anyone and Winston is actually playing very well the last few weeks even if his TD total doesn’t reflect it. I think Winston is a lock for 20+ fantasy points this week.
