22nd overall- Mackensie Alexander– CB- Clemson- Houston Texans

Houston gets themselves a tough confident quick twitch corner back. Possibly the best against the run this side of Jalen Ramsey. Mackensie Alexander will have that aggression go against at times too. Especially with the new ejection rule in place as Alexander will mix it up with receivers. The confidence and toughness that makes him so attractive as a player also makes him just as frustrating at times as he may be prone to some bad unsportsmanlike penalties. Due to his size he probably profiles best as a slot corner, but he is an excellent cover corner on the outside too. He has explosive measureables and can be a big play defensive back. However ball skills are a huge question as he has no interceptions in his college career. However did show good ball skills at the combine. Even if he doesn’t ever develop elite ball skills you can always rely on Alexander being a burr in the side of opposing offenses.
