16th overall- Jack Conklin– OT- Michigan State- Detroit Lions

Detroit gets themselves a tough mean S.O.B. to protect the quarterback, and open up gaping holes in the run game. Jack Conklin is a skilled technician at his craft too. Almost as smart as he is tough. Big strong hands that he uses magnificently to punch, hold, and redirect blockers at will. Most have Taylor Decker being the better tackle so this is a surprise, but Conklin’s tape is every bit as impressive if not more so. Conklin has better athleticism than given credit for. Dominated DeForest Buckner when they faced off. Played well against the best teams and the best competition so he is ready to be a dominant player at the next level.
