PLAYER OVERVIEW:

Arturo Uzdavinis is a Three-year letterman has played in 37 career games with 25 starts at Tulane. He was a red shirt freshman so has 5 years of experience which should serve him well in the pros.

MEASREABLES AND PRODUCTION:

Tall and long at 6’7″ and 312 pounds. Carries it well. Had an excellent pro day moving well in drills. Had explosive jumping numbers with a 35″ vertical and 10 foot broad. You can see his pro day results here.

SCOUTING REPORT:

Positives: Big long frame that can add even more weight if needed. Has a nice reach which he uses to fend off rushers from getting under his pads and driving him back. Has good leadership traits and above average football IQ to go along with excellent football and personal character. Although he has some development ahead with technique and strength there is potential here to get a surprisingly good value.

Negatives: Not quick enough out of his stance. Can be beaten off the edge with speed as he has an awkward kick slide, and isn’t the most nimble guy in the world. May kick him inside in the pro’s should he make a roster. Needs to build up functional strength. Only benched 16 reps which is not ideal for a big man. Needs to live in the weight room which probably means he’s headed for a practice squad near you.
