Will Running Game Continue to Struggle?

During their current five-game skid, Chicago has netted less than 100 yards on the ground three times. Surprisingly, running back Jordan Howard is still one of the league’s top rushers (fifth with 885 yards), having gained only 44 yards in the last two games. Cincinnati’s run defense is ranked 28th, giving up an average of 123.8 yards per game. This may sound like an easy task for Howard and the rest of the Bears’ running attack, but things may not be so simple. Three-time Pro Bowl guard Kyle Long is on injured reserve, and his absence could make advancing the ball on the ground a difficult task.
