5. Pineiro was 5 for 5 in his career at Florida from 50+ yards

One of the first things you should look at when examining a collegiate kicker and if his game will translate to the NFL level is what kind of power he has. There are plenty of kickers circulating in the NCAAs that are plenty accurate, but once the field goals start creeping out around 47 or 48 yards, they just don’t have the leg to handle it.

That type of kicker doesn’t translate at the NFL level, but that’s not a concern with Pineiro. He has managed to never miss a kick from 50 yards or beyond. He’s 5 for 5 in his career from that distance with a long of 54 yards.

Not only that, Pineiro really likes to show off his leg. Here’s a video of him hitting an 81-yard field goal in practice. Not too shabby.

Pineiro is a former soccer player who has a little swagger in his step. Making sure a kick has enough distance won’t be a problem for him.
