Mitchell Trubisky leads the Chicago Bears to their first victory of the second half against a very struggling Detriot Lions team.

Before the game started, the Detriot Lions announced that their star quarterback Matthew Stafford wasn’t starting and that backup Jeff Driskel will be starting.

The first half of the game wasn’t pretty at all, but Mitchell Trubisky ended up finding tight end Ben Braunecker to take the lead heading into the half. Bears were up 7-6.

The Bears got the ball to start the 3rd quarter, and Mitchell Trubisky continued his hot streak. He found Allen Robinson for a 33-yard strike, and then he dumped the ball off to Tarik Cohen, who ended up finding the end zone. Bears lead it 13-6.

The Bears ended up having three straight scoring drives as Trubisky ended up finding Taylor Gabriel in the endzone.

After that Taylor Gabriel touchdown, the offense went silent and it was all a defensive game after that. They had a somewhat comfortable lead headed into the fourth quarter. Not much offense was needed and since they do have one of the best defenses in the NFL, they felt confident.

The Chicago Bears ended up beating the Detriot Lions and ended their four game losing streak. If they would have lost this game, their season was probably over, but luckily enough they’re still alive.

Mitchell Trubisky balled out and ended up having one of his best games of the season. Trubisky went 16-23, with 173 passing yards and three passing touchdowns.

One thing about Trubisky is that he shows up and delivers the most when the team needs him. He performs his best when the pressure is at it’s highest.

Maybe turning off the TVs in Halas Hall was the best thing for Trubisky? I think that’s what helped him focus more because he wasn’t listening to what everyone outside were saying about him and the team.

Is there more work to do? Yes most definitely, but it’s a step in the right direction for the team. We will know more about this team and who they truly are next week as they take on the LA Rams on Sunday Night Football.
