5 Christmas gifts for Chicago Bears
4. Consistent quarterback play for Allen Robinson
This is not to rile up the Trubisky supporters, or start a debate about who should be the quarterback in 2020. However, most fans can agree that Robinson took a huge step forward in 2019, and not many Bears were ready to go with him.
Robinson lost a lot of stats this season due to errant throws. You can say the offensive line is an issue, the play calling is an issue, the lack of other play makers is an issue. All of this, combined with a hit or miss quarterback led to Robinson soaring into the open field with a pass soaring over his head.
On Sunday Night Football, Chris Collinsoworth was talking about the Bears issues on offense and said that Robinson could not be a number one option on an elite level offense.
Robinson was a snub for the Pro Bowl. Anyone who actually watches the games knows that there are not 10 wide receivers in the NFL better than Allen Robinson. From college with Christian Hackenburg, to Blake Bortles to whatever issues have occurred with Trubisky, Robinson has been productive. He came back from an ACL injury and after an up and down 2019, he was an elite receiver in 2020.
People need to know this. Here is to hoping that he can see enough accurate passes in 2020 to make fans understand and announcers eat their words.
