Chicago Bears: 3 Must-target safeties in second waive of free agency

Eric Reid
Alright, let us not worry about the fact that some of you may not like Eric Reid for his political views. He is a good football player and would be a great addition to this team. Reid is 28 years old and will turn 29 in December. I would be okay giving him a two or three-year deal if I am being honest. He is that good of a player.
Reid is coming off a 130 combined-tackle season. 97 of those were solo tackles. Pagano would love the fact he had four sacks last season too. There is one downfall though, Reid gave up eight touchdowns last year. Yikes. That said, I think that had more to do with Reid playing 99 percent of the Panthers’ defensive snaps, 20 percent of the special teams snaps and also playing out of position at times.
If we go back to 2018, Reid started 13 games. He only let up two touchdowns that year and only a 57.7 completion percentage. He also had an interception, five pass deflections and a sack. Reid finished with 50 solo tackles and 21 assists too.

The Chicago Bears would be an ideal landing spot for Reid. Unfortunately, I am not sure ownership will put his political beliefs aside and sign him. However, with the poor stats allowed in the passing game last season, Ryan Pace could likely sign Reid on a fairly cheap deal. Sign me up for Tony Jefferson or Reid please.
