4. Michael Onwenu

Onwenu went 47 picks after Dotson. He went nine picks after Darnell Mooney, and 19 picks after Kindle Vidor, who occasionally plays on special teams. He also went 27 picks after Gipson who has been inactive often.

However, the New England Patriots got themselves a starting lineman in Michael Onwenu. Onwenu has played right tackle, left guard, right guard, and right tackle as a rookie for the Patriots. According to PFF, he has been one of the best-run blockers in the NFL.

Sure, the Patriots are a run-heavy scheme, and coming from Michigan, this suits his talents. Still re-read that sentence.

Michael Onwenu was a road grader from Michigan. A stud in the run game. He has played every position on the line. Does this not sound like a guy the Chicago Bears could use? Did they not want to improve their run game? Did they miss Onwenu with his freakish size plowing over Big 10 lineman?

Mooney is forgivable, but Vildor and Gipson over Onwenu have come back to hurt this roster.
