Chicago Bears Draft: Interior Offensive Line

This is another class that is extremely controversial like wide receiver. The only difference is there isn’t a lot of talent in this group either unless you include Rashawn Slater and Alijah Vera-Tucker as interior offensive linemen (which I don’t). There are a lot of mean, great talents, but I truly believe this class is underrated.

  1. Creed Humphrey, Oklahoma — 6.5
  2. Landon Dickerson, Alabama — 6.4
  3. Wyatt Davis, Ohio State — 6.3
  4. Aaron Banks, Notre Dame — 6.3
  5. Quinn Meinerz, UW-Whitewater — 6.3
  6. Alex Leatherwood, Alabama — 6.3
  7. Trey Smith, Tennessee — 6.1
  8. Josh Myers, Ohio State — 6.1
  9. David Moore, Grambling State — 5.6
  10. Ben Cleveland, Georgia — 5.5

Player to Highlight: Aaron Banks, Notre Dame

Aaron Banks is being criminally underrated in this class of interior offensive linemen. Banks has been a force at Notre Dame since taking over as starting guard in his sophomore season. He then held onto it impressing greatly in both 2019 and 2020. He is a highly decorated guard that has also shown he wants to play offensive tackle and has the physical attributes to do so.

Banks would be perfect for the Bears due to his flexibility along the offensive line. He honestly could start at right tackle immediately for the Bears and be a stud there. He plays with a mean and nasty attitude and is great in pass blocking along with run blocking. The Notre Dame pedigree is huge as well. He will be a steal for whoever gets him.
