The Chicago Bears could make a deal with the Tennessee Titans

One of the first teams that came to mind was the Tennessee Titans. The Titans lost an improving wide receiver with plenty of untapped potential in Corey Davis. Davis is coming off the best season of his career in 2020. He saw 92 targets and caught 70% of them for 984 yards and five touchdowns.

Over his four-year career, Davis has improved his catch rate percentage every season. He went from 52.3% to 58% to 62.3% and finally to 70.7% last year. His yards per target increased over that same span too. Losing Davis will be a big blow to the Titans, but the team could help soften the blow by making a trade for a player like Anthony Miller.

Miller was drafted 51st overall in 2018, whereas Davis was drafted fifth overall in 2017. The expectation levels were different for these two, but neither has fully lived up to them. Maybe a change of scenery will be good for both of them? Davis signed with the Jets this offseason. He was a free agent target I was hoping to see the Chicago Bears land, but Pace never seemed too interested despite making a run at wide receiver Kenny Golladay.

The Titans have a very good wide receiver in A.J. Brown. They brought in former Rams receiver Josh Reynolds to try and fill Davis’ void too. However, after those two players, the Titans receiver room looks pretty bleak.
