Chicago Bears Stock Report: These coaching candidates are on the move
Chicago Bears Head Coach Candidate: Nathaniel Hackett – Stock Neutral
Last Week: Stock Up
Nathaniel Hackett has seen his stock rise steadily all season. That said, I find that he is sitting about neutral right now. The Packers are 15th in yards and 13 in points on the year. When you have future Hall of Fame quarterback, Aaron Rodgers throwing the football, I feel like the team should be ranked higher than that though.
I loved watching how Hackett adapted the playcalling in-game versus the Chicago Bears three weeks ago, however, their last two wins were hardly as impressive. The playcalling was not bad versus the Ravens two weeks ago (31-30) or over the Browns (24-22) last week, but I didn’t find it nearly as impressive.
There are a few people out there who would love to steal Hackett away from the Packers, but we also have to be careful. Hackett has seen great success under Matt LaFleur while having Aaron Rodgers but didn’t see nearly the same success while in Jacksonville. One great season with Blake Bortles under center was his only success story with the Jaguars. Every other season was average to below-average. I like Hackett, but he’s not on my shortlist.
