2. Matt Eberflus

The Indianapolis Colts defensive coordinator has a lot of respect around the NFL. He has been in many different schemes and has always changed around his personnel. Beyond that, he has high regards from his days with the Dallas Cowboys as their linebackers coach.

Sean Lee can speak highly of Eberflus, but also Rod Marinelli, and Monte Kiffin. In college, he played under Nick Saban. For the Colts, he was hired by Josh McDaniels, but when McDaniels backed out, Frank Reich saw something special and let him stay.

Eberflus has a great track record and seems to attract people no matter where he goes. Questions that come up with him will be about who is coordinating the offense, and how he can keep a coaching development plan built around Justin Fields. The next question is how he can do as a first-time head coach, but we will never know that for sure until he is hired.
