The Chicago Bears could draft George Pickens to replace Allen Robinson

One of the most underrated receivers in this year’s draft class is Georgia’s, George Pickens. The 6-foot-3 wideout suffered a torn ACL last spring and missed the majority of the 2021 season before coming back and making a huge impact in the National Championship Game.

This last season was supposed to be Pickens’ true breakout, but because of the injury, his collegiate numbers never had the chance to look any better than a mid-round pick. Pickens will still be a second or third-rounder, but his upside is that of a first-round selection.

Pickens is more of a crafty receiver than a physical one, with excellent downfield speed. He controls his body well and for that reason offers his quarterbacks one heck of a catch radius. Going up and turning inaccurate throws into receptions is something he can do with ease.

Pickens is a sound route runner with quick feet but doesn’t offer much in terms of physicality. He’s not going to help much in run blocking, which is his only big downside other than coming back from his recent injury.
