The Chicago Bears could do without wide receiver Allen Robinson

Allen Robinson is the only player on this list who is not under contract with the Bears, and it is a foregone conclusion that he will be in a different uniform next season. However, it must be noted that the Bears are going to be fine without Robinson.

Understandably, the Bears’ wide receiver depth is almost nothing going into free agency. Aside from Darnell Mooney and Dazz Newsome, the Bears have three or four spots wide open.

But, they will find the depth, and even if Robinson has had a change of heart, wanting to come back, the Bears should still move on.

Robinson’s attitude over the past year or so has been absolutely terrible. His effort has been laughable and maybe satisfactory at best. It has been completely evident that he had moved on from Chicago, in his mind, long ago.

Because of that, his effort essentially showed that he quit on his teammates in 2021. He pouted. He jogged routes here and there. He gave zero effort in blocking on most occasions. It was actually quite pathetic.

The Bears are going to be just fine moving on from a player like Robinson, and finding guys who want to put in the effort on every single down, and until the whistle blows.
