The Chicago Bears should be watching Justyn Ross at the 2022 NFL Combine

Senior

College: Clemson

Height: 6’3”

Weight: 205 lbs

Career Numbers: 158 receptions, 2,379 yards, 20 touchdowns

Justyn Ross is one of the draft’s biggest wildcards. He missed all of 2020 because of a neck and spine injury, which required a pretty serious surgery. Ross came back to play last season though and finished with a modest stat line of 46 receptions, 514 yards and three touchdowns.

Ross’ best year came in 2018 when Trevor Lawrence was throwing him the ball, and then had another strong season in 2019 with Lawrence. Unfortunately, Clemson fell from their pinnacle last year, so it’s tough to judge Ross on last season. But, when you look at Ross’ year in 2018, he averaged a whopping 21.7 yards per reception on 46 catches. He has game-breaking ability, without a doubt.

Maybe the best in his class when it comes to high-pointing a football, Ross presents defenses with a big body that’s hard to cover. He doesn’t present blazing speed by any means, but Ross has an ability to make some of the more difficult catches you’ll see.

Ross can play outside, but his potential as a slot receiver is high. His play strength and being able to break tackles well makes him a candidate to be a stud in the slot, where he’d be virtually impossible to cover.
