1. Anthony Hitchens fits Chicago Bears for many reasons

Anthony Hitchens barely beats out Damien Wilson with the most ties to the Chicago Bears coaching staff. Maybe that is because he was drafted in 2014, while Wilson was drafted in 2015. still, Matt Eberflus was the linebackers coach when Hitchens was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys.

It meant that Hitchens left Dallas in 2017, a year before Eberflus left as well. Still, just like Wilson, Anthony Hitchens signed with the Kansas City Chiefs. If you want to know when Poles and Eberflus had their paths cross, it was likely Poles calling Eberflus to get an inside scoop on guys such as Damien Wilson and Anthony Hitchens.

It is interesting to find that the Chiefs signed two linebackers directly after spending four years with Matt Eberflus. While Damien Wilson only spent two years in Kansas City, Hitchens spent the past four seasons with the Chiefs and was a play-caller in the middle of the defense.

He is getting older but is still two years younger than Danny Trevathan. Hitchens could also be put in a reduced role with Roquan Smith in the fold, which would mean that he is not getting tested on passing downs.

Beyond that, Hitchens could be a leader who knows how Matt Eberflus wants to do things and sets the tone.
