Chicago Bears Players to Watch: Honorable Mentions

With those five players being the guys I’ll be zeroing in on the most, here are a few others that deserve some recognition.

Trestan Ebner, RB

We saw Trestan Ebner perform well vs the Chiefs last Saturday. Just like some of these other players, we need to see him stack some performances together. Ebner made a great open-field cut and also a couple of nice catches. Can he do it again?

Khalil Herbert, RB

That’s right. I want to see Khalil Herbert rebound from his rough outing vs. the Chiefs in the preseason opener. Herbert had one good run of six yards and that was about all he did. He struggled to catch the ball and averaged less than three yards per carry.

Tajae Sharpe, WR

We saw two great catches by Tajae Sharpe last game. If he’s healthy enough to play tonight, I want to see Sharpe build off of his performance.

Dante Pettis, WR

Pettis also had a nice catch last week, but it was his blocking on the Trestan Ebner run that caught my attention. I am hoping to see him factor into the receiving game a little more in this one.

Lamar Jackson, CB

I have been talking up Lamar Jackson most of the offseason. He looked solid at times in the preseason opener, but he wasn’t wrapping enough on his tackles. I’d like to see him perform well again as he is one of the bigger corners on the team.
