4. Brandin Cooks vs Kyler Gordon

If Aaron Rodgers showed us one thing it is that teams are likely going to pick on Kyler Gordon. Gordon is a rookie cornerback who is a bit behind when it comes to learning the small subtleties of the game.

With that in mind, he is being picked on a bit, as many rookie cornerbacks do. On Sunday, that may lead to him seeing Brandin Cooks a ton. Gordon has been the slot cornerback, and while Cooks has only lined up in the slot on a little over 25% of his snaps this season, the Texans should be moving him there more often.

So far this year Cooks has 93 yards on five catches in the slot, and six catches for 43 yards when he is on the outside. He is averaging 4.65 yards per route run so far this season when working out of the slot. Cooks has been dynamic.

It would only make sense to move Cooks into the slot more considering that is where he has been best in 2022.

Cooks has been best in the slot, and if the Texans are smart they will put him in there and make Kyler Gordon defend him on the majority of the snaps. If the Texans do this, it could be a huge game for Brandin Cooks.
