2. Chicago Bears will be seeing Ryan Griffin walk

The Chicago Bears had plans for Ryan Griffin and in week one he was on the field for over 50% of the offensive snaps. However, that was the last time he played that much, and the team gradually moved away from him after that.

Some of that is because of Griffin, and some of that is because of Trevon Wesco. Wesco is more versatile and has proven to be a better blocker. That is all the team needed, and the blocking of Wesco can be considered helpful to opening up Cole Kmet as a pass catcher.

The Chicago Bears signed Ryan Griffin in the middle of the offseason. They did not get Wescon until after cut-down days in August. So, they did not think that they would have this type of help at tight end. With that said, they spent a little too much on Griffin given the return that he brought. Wesco suffered a season-ending injury that has put Griffin on the field more. Still, Griffin is just auditioning for other teams now. The team knows that it is time to move on.
