The Chicago Bears see the first wide receiver come off the board in this group

8) ATL: Myles Murphy, EDGE – Clemson

Myles Murphy is a dominant base defensive end and can serve as a true anchor on any defensive line. A top-five pick in most drafts, Murphy suffers by having two elite defensive players in front of him in Carter and Anderson, but the Falcons are the true benefactors, locking in the franchise pass-rusher that they have been looking for since drafting Vic Beasley in 2015.

9) CAR: Quentin Johnston, WR – TCU

Quentin Johnston is not only the clear-cut number-one receiver in this draft but perfectly compliments star receiver D.J. Moore on the Panthers. Whether the quarterback for Carolina is Sam Darnold or a newcomer in 2023, Johnston gives the signal-caller a reliable jump ball receiver who is not only capable of insane catches down the field but can catch and run much better than expected for someone his size.

10) PHI (via NO): Tyree Wilson, EDGE – Texas Tech

The Eagles address one of the few weaknesses on their defense, selecting Tyree Wilson to be a dominant defensive end who can get after the passer and set the edge in the run game. At 6’6″ and 275 lbs, Wilson is a large, intimidating presence at the end of the line of scrimmage, but still possesses the quickness and speed to bend around the edge.

11) TEN: Paris Johnson Jr, OT – Ohio State

With franchise left tackle Taylor Lewan coming off of another ACL tear in 2022, the Titans find his successor in Paris Johnson, who not only played multiple positions in college but possesses the size and agility of a pure NFL left tackle. What he may lack as a pass-blocker, he makes up for in the run game, a huge plus for a team that perpetually looks to scheme around giving the ball to Derrick Henry.
