How did the Chicago Bears grade out in the draft?

We wrote another article that dove deeper into his entire draft. The Chicago Bears did not have a first-round pick to work with, but Ryan Poles also managed to pick up 11 picks by the end of things.

Those factors have to be weighed into what this grade is. Still, everyone can admit that Kyler Gordon did not produce. Some may say that I am too harsh, but when you add in the draft cost and the players taken around him, this was a D+.

Jaquan Brisker was firmly a B+, and then there was Velus Jones, who we gave a D for his rookie season. Braxton Jones was given a B+, and Dominique Robinson was given a C-. Both of them are given a bit of leniency due to the cost it took to get them, and the snaps that they played.

Zach Thomas was an F, as he is on a different practice squad, but Doug Kramer is incomplete because he only played a bit of one preseason game.

Trestan Ebner and Ja’Tyre Carter showed little, so they got Ds. Meanwhile, Elijah Hicks was a B+, and Trenton Gill was an A.

Obviously, you have to weigh things out because missing on Gordon is worse than hitting on Gill. Still, overall you come around to another grade around C-. So, his overall grade is looking closer to a C right now.
