Caleb Williams’ 2025 season featured many plays that were tough to comprehend.

Some of his throws, like his touchdown to DJ Moore in the back of the end zone against the Cleveland Browns or, of course, his pass to Cole Kmet against the Los Angeles Rams in the playoffs, were plays that would be seen in a video game. Williams blended reality and fiction, bringing those jaw-dropping plays to life throughout his second season.

Madden NFL 26 highlighted Williams’ incredible plays and introduced “New Superstar Abilities,” which will be incorporated into the popular gaming franchise. Four players were featured for their unique abilities: Jaguars kicker Cam Little, Bills offensive lineman Dion Dawkins, Cowboys wide receiver George Pickens, and Williams.

Caleb Williams' reaction to new abilities in Madden 26

Here are the traits for Williams’ super start ability.

Agile Extender

"While in the pocket; passers with this ability are almost guaranteed to evade the first sack attempt by a blitzing defensive back.”

Gutsy Scrambler

"Passers with this ability have a reduced chance to be impacted by throw penalties caused by defensive pressure while on the run.”

Williams saw the updated abilities and expressed his excitement on social media.

According to SumerSports, Williams finished with a 3.78% sack percentage. That was the fourth-lowest among quarterbacks with at least 100 dropbacks. His “Agile Extender” ability helped the Bears’ offense when the defense clearly had the right call, but Williams's ability to extend plays was a critical X-factor.

When free rushers were running towards Williams, he often didn’t panic and kept his eyes downfield for potential big plays. That’s why he finished seventh overall in big-time throw rate among 33 NFL quarterbacks with at least 270 dropbacks, according to Pro Football Focus.

Once Williams starts raising his accuracy rating, he will start to become a cheat code in video games and in real life.
