Kay Adams just took the Bears offseason hype to an all-time high

There's no going back now.

As you all know, the Bears are back. Even if they hadn't made, like, more offseason moves than the rest of the NFL combined, they'd still be back. That's how it works in Chicago.

Fortunately, this year, they're actually back. When you hire the best coaching candidate of the offseason, make multiple major upgrades to the offensive line, and bring in two of this year's draft classes most exciting pass-catching prospects, you get to crown yourself offseason champions – something that has never gone poorly for anyone. (And if it did go poorly, that's only because they weren't as back as the Bears.)

Of course, I wouldn't blame you for rolling your eyes about just how back the Bears are. I'm just one blogger; I alone can't convince you if you're not already convinced. But maybe Kay Adams can? While talking through some sort of best bet/odds segment of her morning show, Adams went into a long explanation for why the Bears should be considered one if, if not the, most improved teams of the offseason. Like I said: extremely back.

Kay Adams' confidence in the Bears makes me kinda nervous

"You physically could not do more in an offseason," she said. "They really did it. They bring in Ben Johnson, belle of the ball. And I've said this a million times – just that move, and I was like, I'm in. Then you overhaul the entire offensive line. Joe Thuney is the big splash there. Like, big splashes? Who are we? I don't recognize us. What is this? And they could have said Caleb's fine, he's got Rome, DJ Moore is good. But no, they were like, let's go get Colston Loveland. Let's go get this pass-catcher at the tight end spot, because we know that's what Ben Johnson likes to do. Let's go get Luther Burden. They have the longest odds to win the NFC North. Is there an argument that the Bears won't make the playoffs? I think the Bears will make the playoffs. I'm confident with them."

If the Bears weren't so back, this would make me nervous. Nothing Adams points out is wrong, per se, it's just that this happens, you know, every single year – the Bears have been back before, and will be back again. So far, it hasn't meant a whole lot. And if Caleb Williams just isn't really the guy everyone thought he'd be, none of this matters.

But it does matter, because the Bears are back. You know it, I know, and Kay Adams knows it. Who else do we need?
