The Chicago Bears could not have made another selection after the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, and they would have won the draft.

That is how impactful the Bears' selections of Caleb Williams with the first overall selection and Rome Odunze with the ninth overall selection were. On Day 2 of the NFL Draft, the Bears had the luxury of mostly sitting back and watching.

Of course, the Bears traded their 2024 second-round pick to the Washington Commanders at the NFL Trade Deadline for defensive end Montez Sweat. Sweat signed a lucrative four-year deal with the Bears before the end of the season, ensuring the trade has a long-term impact on the Bears' contention.

With no second-round pick, the Bears were not on the clock on Day 2 of the NFL Draft until the third round with pick No. 75.

With the 75th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears select Kiran Amegadjie.

Kiran Amegadjie served as an offensive tackle for Yale. Given the questions that have lingered around Braxton Jones' starting spot on the offensive line at left tackle, it would be easy for Bears fans to think that Amegadjie is being drafted to replace Jones. While that may prove to be the case, it won't be in 2024, as Amegadjie is believed to be a project pick, given the lack of recent playing time due to injury and illness.

If Jones' development is any indicator, the Bears, under general manager Ryan Poles, have shown an ability to get the most out of their homegrown offensive lineman. While there were other options available that could have had an immediate impact, Amegadjie could be a sneaky good pick in a year or two.

Grade: C+

After this selection, the Bears currently have one final pick remaining in this year's draft. On Saturday, the Bears hold the rights to the No. 122 pick in the draft. The pick falls within in the fourth round, meaning, barring a trade down, the Bears' draft may wrap up early on Saturday afternoon.
