USC quarterback and presumptive next starting quarterback of the Chicago Bears, Caleb Williams, participated in USC's Pro Day on Wednesday.

After opting out of participating in the NFL Scouting Combine in February, Wednesday was the first look this off-season that teams had at Williams.

In most cases, there is very little information actually obtained from a Pro Day. Short of a player having an incident similar to Jalen Carter last Spring, there is minimal impact that can be had on a prospect's draft status.

Having said all that, teams still are present for the Pro Days of top prospects as it allows them to finalize their evaluations of each player. As the Bears go about checking the final boxes on Williams in anticipation of selecting him in the 2024 NFL Draft next month, it's no surprise that Ryan Poles, Matt Eberflus, and Shane Waldron were among the team's contingency at USC on Wednesday.

There was, however, a surprise member of the Bears' contingency present.

Chicago Bears wide receiver Keenan Allen is already making friends with quarterback Caleb Williams.

That is recently acquired Bears' wide receiver Keenan Allen dapping up Williams ahead of his workout on Wednesday. Considering the likelihood of Williams being the next starting quarterback of the Bears, it is a cool sight for Bears fans to see.

The Bears acquired Allen in a trade with the Los Angeles Chargers last Thursday. Not only has Allen already gone on record in saying that he wants to sign a contract extension with Bears but his presence on Wednesday shows that he is embracing his role in his new locker room. With a rookie starting quarterback in place, likely Williams, Allen has been added to create a soft landing spot for a player making the transition to the NFL. Allen establishing that connection with Williams immediately can only benefit the Bears once the season starts.
