Ugly Game, Beautiful Result: Bears Win

Chicago Bears 27, Green Bay Packers 20

Let me just say that the game that just took place is why football is so great.  A rivalry game with enormous implications for the seaoson that goes down to the final play?  What great athletic theatre, even if it was sloppy thoroughout.

Although the first half did not go well for the Bears, great plays by Charles Tillman kept it close.  In the end, it was Brandon McGowan‘s interception in the end zone that iced it for Chicago.  All right, so it wasn’t Daniel Manning, but at least I got the interception part right .

By the way, how good does Greg Olsen look split out wide as a receiver?  He could be a very, very dangerous weapon in the arsenal as the season progresses.

All in all, this was a fun game to watch, even if it was slowed by a penalty every couple plays.  More thoughts upcoming on this matchup and its implications on the rest of the division race.
