Bears Enjoy 4th Consecutive Unexciting 4th Quarter, Best Philadelphia Eagles 19-16

It’s a roller coaster ride here in Chicago.  The last two minutes of football with the Bears always seems to be pretty exciting.  Just in the last two weeks, the Brian Griese has thrown for 3 touchdowns during the two minute drills.

Today, it was the most exciting finish we’ve had so far.  That beats out a Detroit game where over 40 points were scored in the 4th quarter, a Green Bay game iced with an end zone interception, and a Minnesota loss as time expired.

The Bears have certainly had their ups and downs so far this year.  However, the game winning 97-yard touchdown drive that Griese constructed should create enough goodwill to last a long time.

Chicago is not thought of as a young team, but it feels like this bunch is just starting to find itself.  With young offensive skill players in Hester, Olsen, Berrian, and Benson, Chicago projects a movement of youth.  On the flip side, veterans Mushin M. and Brian G. provide veteran leadership.

True, Chicago is still not quite .500.  But for now, fans can settle for some last second heroics and excitement.
