Jay Cutler on the first day of training camp (Video)
Camp Cutler opened on Friday. Here’s what the man of the hour had to say in this video clip from the Bears website…
Let me try to read between the lines and interpret some of Jay’s comments:
Everyone’s a little rusty… = these receivers aren’t that good…
Guys were in the right spots… = at least Devin Hester and Earl Bennet know the plays…
We’re gettin’ there… = these receivers aren’t that good…
Everyone was out here 30 minutes early… = We need the practice…
It’s been a long offseason for us.. = It’s been a long offseason for me…
I kid. I kid. As Wannie used to say, “We’ll be fine” = we’re not fine.
OK, I’ll stop now.

I hope you’re just being a little negative on your site so you don’t seem like your drinking too much Koolaid or being a homer.
Actually, I think Bennett is going to suprise us this year.
August 1st, 2009 at 10:11 amOf course! I’m just having a little fun at Jay’s expense. I have a feeling Brandon Rideau could emerge this season. He’s a big body that most of the Bears’ wideouts lack.
August 1st, 2009 at 12:31 pm[...] Reading between the lines of Jay Cutler’s first post-practice interview with the Bears. Amazingly, nobody appears to have asked him how pussies learn to talk. Maybe he’ll agree to an interview with the bootlegger sports staff. <beargoggleson> [...]
August 3rd, 2009 at 7:01 amCheck what Bill Belicheck said when asked if the Pats were interested in Michael Vick. He was so vague that I’m not sure if he wouldn’t touch him with a 10 ft pole (but can’t say so because it will make whoever eventually picks him up look even worse), or if he’s just waiting to pick him up for a song. The best NFL coaches are like politicians, only smarter and more disciplined.
