Bears vs Chargers Caption Time

The Bears dropped their preseason opener to the Chargers 25-10.  On the bright side, there’s plenty of room for improvement.  I was thumbing through some game photos and saw this one.  I had to add the thought bubble from Rivers.

#17… thanks for taking Brandon off our hands, he’s always injured….

#64….. yeah, jerry always looks for expensive, injured reclamation projects…

#64… “can I carry you off the field”

    #17… ” to which locker?”

#64…. “Dude, I’m your biggest fan, would you sign my helmet?”

  • Windy Cynic

    Seriously Boomer….

Jerry signed Brandon to a substantial contract at a position of strength (TE) and Brandon can’t play due to injury (???). Ignores the offensive line, but signs a fourth TE. Coming off knee surgery. Guaranteed money.

    Please explain this to me?

      Windy,

You’re on fire! Damn dude – it’s just the preseason. I can’t wait to see what happens once the regular season kicks off!

Manumaleuna was brought in specifically per Martz’s request to have a hand-on-the-ground TE. I suspect that they thought they’d be able to move Olsen, but couldn’t get value that they expected. I am not concerned about Manu going forward in the season. From what I’ve heard, he needs to hit the treadmill and drop a few lbs. To quote Wannie, “He’ll be fine.”
