Bears vs Lions Open Thread

I am determined to try to make the Open Thread work.  Here’s how it works – you post your in-game comments below and people respond to them and so on and so on.  At the end of the game, it’s a nice record of what went on.  Like our very own little diary.

I’ll be at the game, so if you want to keep up with me, follow me on Twitter @BearGogglesOn.

If you’re looking for something a little more interactive, City and Sam will be jumping on the SideLionReport’s LIVE BLOG.  Go over there and give those poor Lions fans some shit while we’re still in a position to do so.

In case you missed the pile of new content we’re putting out, our team of the bloggers predicted the outcomes all 16 Bears games and we gave you our NFL post-season picks.  We even have a Madden 11 expert to simulate all of the games and a handicapping expert for those of you who like to “go to the window” to make it more interesting.  And for you fantasy players, my guy the DeCon is hearing your fantasy confessions.  Yes, my team is growing and kicking ass at an exponential rate!

And while you’re surfing through posts, check out my Keys to the Game and my cheerleader predictions over at FIRE LOVIE SMITH.

I will make one fearless prediction: the Bears will be interesting this year.  I don’t know if they’ll be any good, but they will give us plenty to talk about. Win, lose and draw, we’ll be here for all your Bears news, good or bad.

BEAR DOWN!!!

Interesting indeed. Hell, this is the first time in, like, forever that I have been this excited to watch a Bears Lions game. I see this game as a win win for da Bears. A win and we may have some confidence restored. A loss and the case to can Lovie is pretty much iron clad after week one. We can’t lose!

All that for a field Goal?? I was excited for minute there.

So, let’s get this straight. Our pass defense looks awful, Cutler looks good, and people can’t hang onto the football? Excellent. This team is bad, and it’s already showing against the freaking Lions. Can’t wait to watch the second half.

    Get ready for funbad.
