National Football Post Goes Inside the Bears Draft Room

facebooktwitterreddit

Some of the keenest football minds at National Football Post, including former Bears college scouting director Greg Gabriel talk about the Bears draft prospects:

Interesting insight from Gabriel, thinking that J’Marcus Webb could shift over to the left side of the O-line.  I don’t think I’ve really heard that before since the big-bodied Webb seems to be more of a prototypical right tackle.  What’s worse is the idea that Frank Omiyale could move back to the right side.  Didn’t we see that movie before?  Jay Cutler did, but he doesn’t remember it.

Also really interesting to hear them speculating that the Bears might sniff into a wide receiver like Pitt’s Jonathan Baldwin, a big bodied target that Jay Cutler covets.   From what I’ve read about him, I’m hoping they steer clear.

For whatever it’s worth, NFPost has the Bears selecting Oregon State Defensive Tackle Stephan Paea.
