49ers Step Up Efforts to Snag Kreutz from Bears

The San Francisco 49ers have put the ball in center Olin Kreutz’s court and put the pressure on the Chicago Bears.  Michael Wright from ESPN Chicago reports that the Niners sent Kreutz a contract proposal:

"An NFL source said that the Niners sent Kreutz a contract proposal Wednesday night. Although the Bears and the center have talked numbers as well, the source said that Chicago’s offer doesn’t reflect how important he is to the team. For a squad that allowed a team-high 56 sacks, Kreutz was seen as a constant as the Bears try to rebuild the rest of the offensive line.Kreutz is expected to agree to terms Friday with one of the teams."

Olin has turned down more money to stay with the Bears once before.  Will he do it again, considering this is most likely his last pay day?  Are the Bears putting him in that position again with a low ball offer?   We should know on Friday.  The pressure is on in light of the strange moves the Bears have made so far.
