Thanks to a 2-game losing streak, the Bears took a tumble in this week’s Power Rankings across multiple sites.  NFL.com dropped them 6 spots to #16:

"How do we feel about those orange jerseys? More importantly, how do we feel about Jay Cutler throwing without his feet set, or off his back foot, or inaccurately? You can’t blame all of Cutler’s imperfections on the offensive line and suspect pass protection. After offensive coordinator Mike Martz fell on the sword for having such a poor run-pass ratio last week, he came back with a 40-pass, nine-run masterpiece vs. the Packers. Mike Martz is who we thought he was."

Over at the Eastern Seaboard Programming Network, the Bears dropped 8 spots down to 18th overall, with a jab at Mike Martz’s playcalling as well:

"So much for the plan to have the Bears run the ball more. (Clayton)"

CBS had the Bears drop all the way down to 20th overall, just 2 spots of this week’s opponent, the Carolina Panthers and well behind division rivals the Packers (#1) and Lions (#2).

Can Lovie Smith, Mike Martz and Jay Cutler right the ship?  Can the Bears turn back to the clock to Week 1’s impressive performance against the Atlanta Falcons?  Stay tuned…
