Breaking Down Lance Louis Touchdown Saving Tackle

We were all impressed with Lance Louis’ tackle of Kamerion Wimbley in the Bears’ 25-20 loss to the Raiders.  The Bears official website did their own poor man’s version of sports science where Larry Mayer dusted off his old high school physics and trigonometry book do the calculations to analyze Louis’ tackle that will become part of Bears lore:

Louis was fined for this play, by the way, which is total crap.  Louis didn’t get inside the shoulder pads and it was all jersey.  Maybe next time he should pull his flags?  We should take up a collection to pay Louis’ fine.

Way to go Lance!

Bears lore, Boomer? C’mon, that’s a little bit of a stretch – don’t you think? They didn’t even win the game. Great play, good article, just bringing lore into it is a little too deep. :) Boy

Yes, lore! Do you remember the Keith “Tractor” Traylor interception that he rumbled 60+ yards? I didn’t remember if the Bears won or lost that game, but I remember that he made a great play. When fat guys run far, it becomes lore.
