Bears Must Avoid Another Draft Bust

The last time the Bears drafted a wide receiver in the first round they drafted Terrell with the #8 selection overall, passing on guys like Reggie Wayne (#30 and Chad Johnson/Ochocinco #36 overall).  When you hear comparisons of Michael Floyd to Keyshawn, maybe it will give you pause.

Been saying this for a while.  There are no sure things in the NFL, but given the volatile nature of his position, one has to assume that the odds of Floyd being a bust are about the same as him being a star.  I’d be hard pressed to draft a receiver in the first round for exactly this reason.  And it’s not disrespecting the offence, just playing smart football.  Case in point:  out of the 10 WR’s selected to this year’s Pro Bowl, only 3 of them were first round picks and 2 of those were selected in the top 20.
