Editor’s Note: The NFL is calling this “leaked” schedule bogus. Guess we’ll have to wait a couple more weeks to find out the schedule.
I am posting this with great reservation, because I don’t like posting unsubstantiated rumors. As you know, the preseason schedule was released earlier this week and the regular season schedule is set but yet to be released. You know the NFL, they like to trickle these things out every few weeks to stay relevant. It’s usually released right around the time of the draft.
An Eagles blogger was digging around on NFL.com and claims to have found a way to access the entire 2012 NFL schedule, which you can find here. Here’s his post talking about stumbling onto it, which doesn’t give much detail.
I’ve pulled together the Bears schedule, which you can see after the jump.
Week 1: 9/9/12 – Bears @ Titans
Week2: 9/16/12 – Bears @ Niners
Week 3: 9/20/12 – Rams @ Bears (Thursday Night Football)
Week 4: 9/30/12 – Bears @ Jaguars
Week 5: 10/7/12 – Vikings @ Bears
Week 6: 10/14/12 – BYE
Week 7: 10/22/12 – Bears @ Cowboys (Monday Night Football)
Week 8: 10/28/12 – Bears @ Lions
Week 9: 11/4/12 – Bears @ Vikings
Week 10: 11/11/12 – Panthers @ Bears
Week 11: 11/18/12 – Texans @ Bears
Week 12: 11/25/12 – Bears @ Packers
Week 13: 12/2/12 – Colts @ Bears
Week 14: 12/10/12 – Lions @ Bears (Monday Night Football)
Week 15: 12/16/12 – Seahawks @ Bears
Week 16: 12/23/12 – Bears @ Cardinals
Week 17: 12/30/12 – Packers @ Bears
At least all of the opponents match. I hope this is not the legit schedule. According to this schedule, the Bears would play 6 of their 8 home games after November 1st, not ideal viewing conditions at Soldier Field. According to this schedule, the Bears would play 3 prime time games, including a Thursday night game as their home opener.
Take this with a big grain of salt. I’m thinking this is a hoax, but thought it would be fun to post it and get some discussion going.
