FanSided Editor’s Mock Draft Results – Bears Grab Stephon Gilmore

The FanSided Mother Ship put together a little Editor’s mock draft, which basically consisted of me getting an e-mail telling me that the Bears were on the clock.  I didn’t really have a lot of visibility of it ahead of time, so it caught me a little flat footed.

I scanned the list of people taken.  Floyd? Gone.  Ingram, Coples?  Gone too.  Mercilus was still on the board.  So were a couple of OT’s like Riley Reiff and Cordy Glenn as were cornerback prospects Stephon Gilmore and Dre Kirkpatrick.

I selected Stephon Gilmore, CB out of South Carolina.  There’s just too much upside there in a position of need for the Bears.
